LATEST NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Exceptional Children’s Week from April 14–18, 2025

Clayton County Public Schools is proud to recognize Exceptional Children’s Week from April 14–18, 2025! This special week celebrates the unique gifts, talents, and contributions of students with disabilities while promoting awareness, inclusion, and advocacy across our entire school community.

This year’s theme, “Bridging Gaps: Building Futures,” reflects our shared commitment to creating opportunities and breaking down barriers so every student can thrive. Throughout the week, schools across all grade levels will participate in themed activities, daily dress-up events, and engaging conversations highlighting exceptional learners' strengths. See the attached flyer for more information.

Special Highlight: Exceptional Students' Prom
This year, we are also excited to host our second annual Exceptional Prom Experience for high school students with low-incidence disabilities—a joyful, inclusive celebration created just for them. More details will be shared directly with the families of participating students in 11th and 12th grade.

We look forward to a week of celebration, education, and unity. Thank you for your continued support in helping us build futures by embracing every student’s potential. For more information, please contact the Department of Exceptional Students at des@clayton.k12.ga.us.
