Parent Perfect Attendance Awards
Parent Perfect Attendance Awards are back for the second semester, with a new twist! Students had the special opportunity to honor their parents for perfect attendance.
Impact:
This initiative sends a strong message about the importance of consistent attendance and family engagement in education. By celebrating parents, we reinforce a culture of accountability and partnership that directly supports student success.
Women Inspiring Women's Day
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Riverdale Elementary is proud to host our 3rd annual Women Inspiring Women’s Day on Friday, March 28th. Influential women from our community will visit to uplift and empower our female scholars in grades 3–5. Our girls have been studying notable women throughout the month, and this culminating event will bring those lessons to life in a powerful and personal way.
Impact:
This event helps our young ladies build confidence, feel seen, and be inspired by successful role models who reflect their potential. By dressing in their “Sunday’s best” and wearing shades of purple, green, or white, our students will step into a space of pride, strength, and possibility—further reinforcing the message that they are the women of tomorrow, being inspired today.
Boys II Men Conference
We are proud to host our first-ever Boys II Men conference on Friday, May 9, 2025. This event will feature dynamic and professional male speakers who will inspire and empower our 2nd through 5th grade scholars. Students are encouraged to wear red, black, and white in business casual attire as we set the tone for a powerful and purposeful experience.
Impact:
The conference aims to uplift young boys by providing positive male role models and engaging conversations about leadership, character, and success. It’s helping to build self-confidence, encourage academic motivation, and create a sense of pride and purpose among our male students.
Math & Science Innovation Camp
Our Math & Science Innovation Camp is an exciting hands-on learning experience for students in grades 3–5. Taking place on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM starting March 15th, the camp is designed to spark curiosity and creativity through interactive math and science activities.
Impact:
This program encourages students to develop a love for STEM subjects by making learning fun, practical, and engaging. It builds problem-solving skills, promotes teamwork, and lays the foundation for future academic and career interests in science and math.
School Improvement Grant Recipient
Riverdale Elementary School was recently selected as a recipient of a prestigious School Improvement Grant (SIG). This award recognizes our commitment to academic growth and provides critical funding to help us strengthen student achievement. The grant will support our efforts to create a more effective learning environment and ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Impact:
This grant will enable us to invest in targeted resources, instructional support, and professional development that directly address our school’s needs. With input from our school community, we aim to use these funds to raise student performance, close achievement gaps, and accelerate our progress toward excellence.
